    Hi guys,
Let me introduce myself first. My name is Karolis Ramanauskas and originally I'm from Lithuania but at the moment I'm studying at sixth form in the UK and next year planning to go to uni to study international marketing. Since marketing is the area which interests me the most, I thought it would be a great idea to get some hands-on experience on marketing and hopefully earn some extra money too. After some research, affiliate marketing seemed the most appealing option to me.

I looked at a dozen of websites about affiliate marketing and came across an even larger number of e-books written by 'marketing gurus' which know a secret to success overnight. All of it seemed a bit like a scam to me. After hours of frustration I decided to just simply ask for advice in specialised forums from real people So here I am.

Therefore my question is: where do I start as a total beginner? What resources should I use for learning affiliate marketing? Are there any trustworthy books or courses that are worth buying?
My experience is quite limited. I am studying ICT in sixth form which taught me how to use the basic features of Dreamweaver and create simple websites. At the moment I am also developing a website for the client using ImpressPages CMS. But that's about it, no knowledge about SEO or anything like that. However, I'm willing to learn and spend approx. 20 hours a week for this whole project.

I would really appreciate any help or advice. Thanks!

Someone posted this to another newbie a couple of days ago, it outlines the absolute basics, but the hardest part will be to learn all of the terminology and how it fits in with you. That will come with time.

    Getting Started

Bottom line of it all though, if you have enough time and enough pages, more people will see your stuff. Also you need to research SEO - Search Engine Optimisation, This will teach you how to make your pages more attractive to search engines....
