  Ads not showing/Google response times

Hi all

Once upon a time, you could enable a campaign in Adwords and expect to get an approval visit from the Google team within an hour or so. Saturday i re-enabled a campign i had suspended and waited, nothing happened. Sunday came and went and this morning the campaign is still not showing ads. i tried jiggling around with monthly budgets and keyword prices in the hope it would kick it off but nope, no good. I did send an email on Saturday querying it but again , no response.

Strange thing is , another campaign i re-started was visited pretty quickly but this particular campaign seems to be being ignored, only thing i can think is that its because sells products of a more adult nature. I even created a new campaign for the same product but same response. Do they have a special 'approvals team' for more adult campigns that dont work weekends

I appreciate it was the weekend and maybe it will finally get looked at today but i have seen this kind of slow response weekdays too. Its beginning to remind me of how Yahoo were when i used them.

Anyone else noticed this or am i just the lucky one

Graham

Re: Ads not showing/Google response times

Usually when I start a new campaign with the odd naughty term in the ad, it takes a few days for the ad to be reviewed and approved.

Not sure what the situation is with existing campaigns which have been re-activated, but Google will probably plod onto it in the end!

google does split up it's adwords into "adult content" on one of their informatinoal pages they have "The AdWords system detects inappropriate or sensitive themes, such as tragedies in the news. In addition, ads do not appear on sites classified by Google as containing adult content, specifically sexual content pages." so you might want to find another ppc to advertise that on
