My love affair with google ended today when my inbox got this cryptic clue..

It's come to our attention that your AdWords account has not been properly linked with your Google Analytics account. If you do not link your accounts by March 5, 2008, we cannot ensure that your data from AdWords will continue to populate in your Analytics account.
It's fast and simple to link both accounts. Please review the various scenarios below and follow the instructions that best suits your needs.

Do these guys think I have all week to figure this out My problem with this type of dialogue is that its so ambigious. Even if I had nothing better to do than work through which scenario applies to me I'm still not clear what advantage all my efforts would have.

This Industry really gets on my nerves sometimes. Everytime I switch my PC on it asks for an upgrade, I upgrade and see no advantage.

Ok I'm ranting...back to the point of this post. Can anyone give me an idea on how big a problem Ive got or is this just another storm in a tea cup scenario from the word of IT madness!!!!!!

Yes, I got about 5 of these day, sent to all my adwords and google analytics accounts.

I really don't get what they want me to do, as far as I know my adwords and analytics accounts ARE correctly linked together, never had a problem in the past.

Theres so many options as to why you might get the email, i`m really not sure which one of them it is.

So, I have just decided to ignore it

I wonder whether it was sent accidentaly, and instead of being sent to a certain group of people it was sent to everyone.

I got an email a couple of months ago from Google, demanding to know what I didn't have adequate funds to pay my adwords bill, although the adwords account in question was actually someone elses and the email was sent to me mistakenly.

Same here... spent about 2 minutes trying to figure out (unsuccessfully) what they wanted me to do then decided everything seemed to be working so I would ignore it too.

Me too.

Mine came at midnight just as I was about to go to bed. Spent the next hour trying to fathom out what they were on about.

Looked again in the morning but still couldn't make head nor tail of it
