Hi

Does anyone have any advice / tips or can point me in the right direction regarding Google's local business results (the ones that appear at the top of the results when you type in a job and location) i.e. baker in london?

I am just putting a small site together for a friend for his business and wanted to know how to get listed in the results.

Have you got a Google Webmaster's account?

If not, you can get one free and in your account there is a "Maps"' function.

Select this and then you'll be taken to a "Put your business on Google Maps" option - follow the on screen instructions - it's easy from there.

(to anyone else who hasn't got an account, even if you don't want to use the map function, a Google webmaster's account is an extremely useful thing to have - I thoroughly recommend getting one)

Cheers for the reply, yes I have got a webmasters account and will take a look at the maps section, not needed to do this before with any of my affiliate sites.
