    :scared
Two of my biggest sites have gone from around 200 UV a day to 5 or 6!

Now Google Webmaster Centre is showing that NONE of the pages are indexed... having had over 3,000 pages for each site previously. :cry

It's showing the 'network unreachable' status next to some of my pages over 1 day this week and for a couple of pages the week before. Has anyone seen this before? Total de-indexing?

I've raised a support ticket with my host because if they can't keep the server up and running efficiently then I'm off. (I'll save their blushes until they've had a chance to respond to the ticket).

What's even worse is that I've had three brilliant months after a long, hard slog. It's galling that Google can just turn off your traffic overnight. What do I do?

It sounds like you shouldn't blame google, if your has been down why should google serve it up to their visitors?

Get your site working again and google reindex in a few days, or a couple of week max.

If your site hasn't been down, you need to start looking at other SEO elements.

Fair point banana. Because we're so dependent on Google it's easy to blame them...

I've got my host to move me to another server. It looks to me like the original server was overloading and therefore pages were timing out. I've signed up to Free Websites Performance, Availability, Traffic Monitoring too so that I can see when the sites are down.

    Let's see what happens....

Not a google problem.. if your site is down and googlebot can't see anything definitely it's not google's fault...
