I was thinking to buy links as well, as my friend who runs pretty big e-shop with bikes, said to me it is only way to get in googles top 10.

    Is it really?

What about your site content? Meta tags, etc?

What about even forum links, blogs? Are they wort it?

If not, how can i and my friend to get propper links, from normal site?

And one more thing, if i have an affiliate programme, and people use my banner linking to me via network, does that not count towards my PR? "Google vote"?

    Yours,

    Rokas Karpavicius

A slower, safer plan is to write some good content, do some basic on the page SEO and then try to get the links naturally.

No, the banner link won't give you any link juice for your PR.

As someone who has tried just about every method of seo out there over the last 6 years, I can honestly say that the one method that will get you results, and sustainable results at that, is regularly good updated content and quality links - not bought!!

Obviously the one question that everyone then asks is " where can I get genuine links if i don't buy them? " - believe me they are out there, you just have to think outside the box a bit!

I have followed this mantra for the last year and have got far better seo results in that time than the previous 5 years, despite the amount of competition growing exponentially!

    All the best,

    Alf

Not really take a look at homebasedbusiness(dot)com/profiles/blogs/free-list-of-90-business.

There are many site with the same / similar lists of forums that do not use the no follow tag in links.

    A spammers paradise.

    Hi,

Alfie is right! you dont need to buy links, we would never recommend to a client that he or us have to buy links, why? Links are around the corner it is only a matter of paying attention to:

    - Your competitors backlinks
    - New web2 properties
    - Old sites that allow you to add links on their sites...
    - more and more ...

It's best to stay clear of 3rd party buying ads especially those that you have no control over any change to nofollow link. Most ads companies don't allow this as it defeats the purpose of people wanting to place ads on your blog just to gain page rank juice from you.

Buying banner ads which is traffic based is fine, if your unsure just nofollow the link and you will be fine

I Never buy links. Whats been amazing for us is the amount of people linking to the site naturally... when I check my backlinks I am often surprised and delighted with what I see... but then we do put serious amounts of man hours into making the site better and better..... I also find that people I network with on forums often put a link to us on their blog.
