Has anyone found a good strategy using blog commenting to get lots of backlinks. I actually did try using an experiment sometime ago by focusing on dofollow blogs with top commentator list. The strategy I used is simple and it worked. I choose a few good blogs in the same niche to do comments . After becoming the top commentator for these blogs I made sure I maintain my position throughout the month. Then I move to a few more blogs and repeat the process. I found that by doing this got me lots of backlinks.

Just want to find out if anyone has other new ideas about growing your backlinks. But do you think growing backlinks too fast too much like this could be bad in Google's eyes. What do you think?
