hmm so its just a capital letter, and it thinks its duplicate content? maybe u cud get a .htaccess to make caps into no caps
Hi guys,
I mainly use wordpress as I like it, its easy and google seems to like it.
However I do have a concern when it comes to duplicate content issues.
This is mainly to do with the capitalisation of urls.
For example I have a url:www.mydomain.com/my_page
This page can also be found here though:www.mydomain.com/My_Page
I thought that google ignored this, but in webmaster tools I can see that for atleast 2 of my pages it reckons it is duplicate content.
Is this a major concern?
Also, anyone know of any other duplicate content issues with wordpress I should be concerned about?
Thanks,
Marc

Yip. Silly I know, but it is there.
Do you run any wordpress sites with these issues?
Thanks,
Marc
The issue is most likely to be that your normal page is domain.com/my_page but somewhere you've linked to it using domain.com/My_Page
I dont know if that would have a dual indexing effect but it's worth checking it out.
Have a read of Yoast.com - he's excellent on Wordpress SEO. IIRC there's a new WP plugin that allows you to mark certain pages as "canonical" using the new tags that were introduced recently
Cheers, Jon
