Bing.com is Microsoft's latest attempt at failure^H^H^H^H^H^H^H a search engine, due out on Monday. Promises all sorts of crap^H^H^H^H interesting things to keep users amused for 5 minutes before they go back to Google.

It'll be all over the news on Monday as the latest "Google Killer". Yeah right.

the issue is how is going to effect affiliate marketing as they are going 100% promote/alter results from their "affiliate" sites especially in the travel and products sector

Well, people were worried about the same thing with Google's Shopping results. And do you know, we all still seem to be here.

On the flipside, it might mean that Microsoft's ad platform will be worth looking at. Assuming it ever gets popular.

well google didnt move the way MS does

and especially when MS is working on a commission bases ie affiliate merchants may well "head" directly to the source rather than the "middle man"

I seem to have noticed that fresh content does not get listed as quickly as with google, particularly for new blogs. Does anyone else see this?
And is anyone happy with their shopping section? I would have expected them to do their own.

Google became successfull as it was easy to use and uncluttered as well as accurate. bing.com seems to have none of this, the search results bring up way to many ads even the homepage looks cluttered with un-necessary background etc and the results aren't anywhere near as accurate as google.

Sorry to disagree but so far I am getting better results from Bing than I ever got from G or any other search engine.
