I couldnt tell you if there are any benefits of doing it either way, i was just gonna say that i think its better to have the /blog at the end. I just think its more user friendly that way.
you all know about subdomain and subdirectoires -
What do you think which is more important and why?
Like have have this -blog/yoursite.com is a subdomain and yoursite.com/blog is subdirectories. so what is the logic behind adding blog in front of your site name and what is logic behind adding blog after your site name?can any one explain me?

Sub domain will work as new domain.. but sub directories work as sub category in the main domain.. Importancey is based on the main domain nature
From Matt Cutts "My personal preference on subdomains vs. subdirectories is that I usually prefer the convenience of subdirectories for most of my content. A subdomain can be useful to separate out content that is completely different. Google uses subdomains for distinct products such news.google.com or maps.google.com, for example. If you’re a newer webmaster or SEO, I’d recommend using subdirectories until you start to feel pretty confident with the architecture of your site. At that point, you’ll be better equipped to make the right decision for your own site."

Sub-domains vs Sub-directories, it has always been a very interesting topic for webmasters. Sub-domain is considered as a separate domain by many search engines whereas sub-directories are considered as the part of the main domain. I personally think that a sub-domain should be introduced only when the service offered on the sub-domain is totally different as compared to the main domain. Don't create sub-domains if you don't have enough quality content to support a full-fledged Web site.

I was googling the same question last week for a new development i am working on.
The man upstairs makes some good suggestions here::
Subdomains and subdirectories
Personally i think sub directories are easier to manage from a web designers/content perspective, although if you are thinking of maybe translating the site, it may be an idea to think of a subdomain strategy for this. Some good suggestions above.:tup
I think a sub domain is best used as a seperate site from your main site. For example, if your domain was holidays.com - good use of sub domains would be
uk.holidays.com, canada.holidays.com etc etc
Sub directories are meant to be part of the same site, same look, feel etc.
That's my opinion anyway.
