Your Pr will drop. But its the anchor text you want.
Also a sudden surge of PR links on a site could see your rankings tumble.

1. If I buy a number of links from PR5-7 sites for 3-6 months, will this affect much on my site's PR.
2. Another case, if it goes very well and my PR increases. So I canceled some links that I have purchased. Is my PR gonna decrease because of some 5-7 PR sites have removed their link to my site or the current PR will never go backward?

PR is based according to your backlinks. So if you get more backlinks from dofollow sites, then it would help increase your page rank. However, if some of your backlinks have lost, then it would also decrease your page rank.
I just want to inform you that buying links that pass Page rank is part of link schemes and may give a negative impact on your rankings

ok..here is what you need to do if you are buy links...
1) buy links for one site say Pr6 (i have never bought one for Pr7)!!
1a) Looking for the number of out bound link form the page... also look at the page rank, becuase if you have many out bound links from the page which contains your anchor text it will dilute its juice.
2) Wait one month (usually that is how long it takes google to update pagerank!) see what your page rank is..The general rule is that you will get page rank smaller then the site you have this placement on..make sence as well.. because you can not expect all the page rank from one site to go to yours... atleast i have never had it happen!
3) cruical step.. do your research... find people in similar areas such as your self (and more importantly same Pr as yourself) to do link trade...remember you are no longer just any website you are a wesite with a Pr 4 or whatever...
4) one you have had lest say 3 beinga good number of website in same Pr as you to exchange links.. then you are in buisness, and ditch your paid link immediately! there may be a small fluctuation however I ahev never had a site loose PR after that...
I hope this is off help...
Age is an important factor in BL.. If the links stay for long period then only get benefit. and also immediate drop of BL effect on the site ranking and SERP . Some time Google or other SE spiders taking time to index the link.. So 3-6 months is not wise
all the top seo firms buy links in one way or another... my advice is to go slowly, dont pile a lot in at once and make sure you have other freebie links in the mix too.
my rules are:
no sitewodes
on topic sites only
prefereably inline in content or at least wrapped in non linked text
oh and another thing dont hammer 1 keyword, have a nice spread of 20 or so

Trooper is right, if you do it slowly you will stand a better chance of not losing your site.
if you going to put that link on front page its directly affect to your site. You also gain pr from it.
