Anyone care - wouldn't know what mine are![]()
I just got wind that google has recently updated the page ranks for several sites. Any winners/loosers here?

Unsure how relevant PR is, but if it holds little value why would google keep it?

yep I know all the professionals poopoo the idea of tracking PR - but as my site increased from a 4 to a 5 and my top internal pages all gained a 4 - I'm choosing to ignore them and celebrating :tup - it'll certainly be easier for me to run a credible linking campaign now - which I'm going to start anyday now - honest injun![]()

PR isn't totally pointless, but it's not worth anything near the anguish that gets expended on it. Good PR *will not* make you rank well, but if you rank well you may well have a good PR score. The difference is perhaps subtle, but very important
Its one of those Cause/Correlation arguments.
"My page rank went up, my page ranks better - must be the cause."
The two things show a correlation, but there isn't necessarily a causal link.

A couple of years ago our PR went from a 6 to a 3, and the serp rankings increased.. I was hoping for a 0 on this update.. but sadly stayed at a 3 :-(

I can't recall the last PR update as there is no change in our Page rank from last few months. We have worked hard this time in link building. Lets see the outcome. Haven't seen any reply which says my PR is updated though so not sure if Google is really updating the Page Rank.
