No follow links don't pass any link juice to the PR but its true that they are not so useless indeed as some traffic you can get from them.

There is a growing opinion from some credible SEO experts that nofollow links are worth pursuing. As always with Google, evidence is hard to come by.

Having some nofollow links in your backlink profile is vital in my opinion if you want to appear to be gaining backlinks naturally.

They occur throughout the web and by not having any you are giving Google a big heads up as to your link building intentions.

Personally, I never believed in nofollow. I'd rather have a link without it, but I'm not that concerned about having it. As noted, all sites should end up with a %age of their links being nofollow anyway. Don't believe what Google says, believe the traffic it sends you

    Nofollow is for engines anyway.

A well placed link can have nofollow but the people who click through to your site because it's a healthy link will not care.

I've had the odd nofollow link actually show in my google webmaster tools section. I cant imagine google ignoring links from big authority sites just because they are nofollowed.

    Yep wiki.

I also bombed a site not long back - many possible reasons for it at the time but one was that I didnt do any nofollow linkbuilding at all.

Absolutely what I was about to write!

Google's link algo's are based around 'natural' models, and a variety of link types help to achieve compliance.

So, yes, they have their value.
