one quick way that i have found to get your site advertsied and also picked up by google is to join a facebook group and post a comment plus a link to your site (providing it is relevant and not random/spammy).
you will get some traffic from people visiting from facebook but google will also pick up the link in your post - depending on the popularity of the group (i think maybe this affects it?), it can appear in search results higher up than your main site.

I might be wrong but i'm pretty sure google doesn't pick up links from facebook groups.... you will potentially get clicks from facebook itself but you risk getting your account closed.
