The ezine articles are probablt nofollow, and as such won't help PR much. However, they will help in getting improved SERPS. Having said that, I'd be interested to know if anyone has any evidence to support this.
There are a lot of SEO experts asking freelancers (like me) for articles to submit to Ezine. They even ask that I make a few spins of my original article. Does it have any real bearing in getting page ranks? Or is it for getting high SERP results? I've never submitted them myself. I just write them so I was wondering how the whole system really works.![]()

Many post to EZA because they are told to do so .. The site itself I do not post my article to because it is more of an adsense farm to me. Anyways many post their articles due to the fact of the amount of traffic EZA has. As for getting high in the serps, they can be easily outranked as I do it all the time with a PR 3 site.
There are many article directories and people submit to them for backlinks, increased rankings, traffic, and etc.. It is another form of marketing basically. Not all article directories are the same though, some provide value while others are nothing more than a adsense farm.
Does article marketing work ? Yes it does and it is used by thousands upon thousands of marketers.

i have submitted so many articles to EZine till date..
why Ezine is popular...? It is because...they have the most crucial and most trusted article approval panel...
ARticle are accepted or rejected when they are checked upto four to 6 stages...
Getting a article accepted over ezine is like a big help...like a website getting accepted in Dmoz.org....
REal reputation returns.....and guess what....no matter ezine has nofollow pattern...but Google really see if you a site has presence of Ezine....
Good luck with that...![]()
