Just been doing some experimenting in trying to get my new sites picked up over the last few days and discovered that the 'Opera route' only seems to work for .coms

I've used exactly the same techniques for a .com and a .co.uk (different domain names though - and different site content).

On the .com, wherever I go to new pages in opera, sure enough googlebot follows me around like a house trained puppy

On the .co.uk - only the homepage has been picked up by googlebot - doesn't matter where else I go - it won't follow me.

Just wondered with some of you saying the adsense trick works for you and some saying it doesnt, when you add your adsense add to your new site do you use a new adsense account created solely for the new site or use an existing adsense account which already has adds appearing on other sites.

I think it would be interesting to know if those of you who reckoned the adsense trick worked how many of you used a new account and how many used an existing account.

Multiple accounts are allowed, but only if the payee is different.

I am aware google doesnt like mutiple accounts, but what i was asking was that those who reckoned this adsense trick worked was it with a new account and those who reckoned it didnt work was it with an account previously used on other sites.

My recent experience of the last 3 sites i have done, 2 for other people and 1 for myself is:

Site 1: new adsense account, indexed within 48 hours

Site 2: new adsense account, indexed within 48 hours

Site 3: existing adsense account, indexed in 5 weeks

I am not saying that having a new adsense account gets your site indexed quicker as nothing is certain with google, as there are a lot of factors to consider and there could be any number of reasons why the 3 sites i mentioned where indexed in the time i mentioned.

    Will
