Hmmm, if you don't know EXACTLY what you're doing with PR sculpting, don't do it at all. I wouldn't touch it at all personally. If you don't trust a page, why would you link to it?
Hi,
I'm an affiliate and so have several landing pages, which contain lots of product links off to my affiliates.
I've seen on other SEO sites that using nofollows is advantageous as it can save link juice within the site from going out of the site.
So would anyone agree/disagree that a) i should use a nofollow tag on the page to stop these links. And also b) would this mean that internal links are also nofollowed? And c) would that be a bad thing?
Thanks

In reality it is a difficult question to answer, in so much as, you will get differing viewpoints:
Does it really have any effect on your own ranking by linking to another website
Does the quality of the site your linking too have any effect on your serps?
The no follow tag can be used for a variety of purposes, and if you re unsure about outlinks, then placing the no follow attribute will have no effect on your own ranking. So really its down to your own personal preference.
You can easily add a nofollow attribute to the url by adding rel="nofollow" within the <a href=""> html code, this will nofollow just that link rather than using it sitewide.
Such it would be <a href="yousite.com" rel="nofollow">Your Site</a>
Nofollow and PR are two of Googles biggest myths and the less time you spend worrying about it to the more time you have to throw up more websites and work on other sectors of your affiliate marketing.
A nofollow tribute (according to form) will not pass link juice & pr to the landing page, but it does allow Googles spiders to follow that link to the next site/page. Some say it does allow a small fraction of link juice, some say it is just a metric put in place by Google to confuse webmasters. It is also said that the less links on a page the more link juice the other dofollow links will receive, both internal and external, so in theory, if nofollow didn't pass link juice, then yes, your other links should benefit.
In reality, it is much harder to tell, I generally try to go for a mixture as it may look more natural when building backlinks, so your guess is as good as mine. I try not to get too involved in metrics such as that because you may start obsessing about the very small matters that dont really matter at all
Internal link structures should pretty much work the same way!

Thanks everyone, lots of different views on this, and i think the thing i'll take from this is to leave it for now! Thanks again.
