Number of pages in Google reduced

Anyone else seen the number of pages from their site in Google reduce dramatically this morning?
I haven't done a detailed check but it looks like old pages (before I re-engineered) that no longer have links to them have been removed but I can't say for sure.
Interestingly my rank for some terms seems to have increased so maybe this is just part of a major update?

Yes I dropped about 20,000 pages yesterday on the google.co.uk, but they have returned this morning.
