I'm not happy about this one bit. Not only does this look totally stupid it's flippin ugly too boot! If i wanted to brand my site with google then i'd be hosting ilovegoogle.com

    Quick poll?

Not sure if it's related but earnings since the change have been down almost 20%

Where's my "opt out of silly google tests" button?

I don't think our sites should be used for google branding. Yes we may use their ads on our site but they are also making substancial money from this so they shouldn't be using our sites for their own branding purposes unless they give us the option of allowing it or they pay us for it!

It seems pretty clear then that you either don't mind or are against this one.

Glad to hear that i'm not the only one a little bit annoyed about this.

I made my feelings clear on this issue in the other thread on this topic. I emailed google and received a response along the lines of 'we value your feedback on this matter, but we don't give a flying fart what you think'.

    Thanks G, you bas**rds.

Yeah i read those, fair play to you! I thought about doing the same but decided it would only end up in the bottomless pit of a google inbox called the trash can. I decided to spend the time putting it to the vote as see what happened. Maybe i'll jsut send them this link

LOL - I don't normally bother with sending in 'feedback' unless I feel it would be genuinely welcomed, but on this occasion, I felt the need to have a rant to them.

Although I've not pulled my links, I am not happy with this, and sincerely hope it stops soon and that they never try anything like this on with me (and everyone) again, otherwise I will seriously considering dumping them.

Google ads are a last resort section of my sites to grab a bit of cash out of those that weren't going to buy so I don't really have a problem with them changing it to Gooooooogle.
I'd say it was a very clever move as it makes the ads stand out a hell of a lot more and I've noticed my adsense clickthrough precentages shoot up since the change.

Obviously this will hurt businesses that have Adsense on their main pages as users will be directed away from their site and it makes their site look cheap and commercial. But if your placing adsense on your pages then obviously you're not trying to sell that customer anything else so shouldn't be happy about the increased clickthrough rate rather than the daft typing?

Exactly what I thought when I saw it for the first time yesterday. but then maybe that's it, people will think, well what's that then? so click on it. Is that their reasoning?
