Fundamentally this is making the net worse... Heres how I would look at it.

a). Your going to have one website for adwords for the same topic.

b). Your going to have one other website without adwords aimed at natural serps.

c). Makes net worse as doubled up content basically! Hmmmm...

This is only making my opinion of G worse than what it was

    doubled up content basically
wouldn't even go there - DUPLICATE CONTENT PENAlTY

re - advertising with adwords - no we don't and google's certainly giving us a 'rest' - we're practically comatose

but until Jagger3 is over and complete it's no good beating yourself up - we won't know until then which way to go.

I'm just never going on holiday again - ever!!!

well I might - its 9am and the florida sun is out and I'm not even going to look at my stats - might give the 'loans and 0%credit card' sites a lookover when we get back though - 'cos I'm just gonna chill, relax and look after Dave - he's got the flu - real proper not the 'male sniffles' - and it's my birthday tomorrow and according to the stars Scorpios are in for the most amazing good fortune this coming year - so everything's going to work out fine.
    ps - totally jetlagged.

oh you slowly, slowly sink to the very bottom of the serps - don't know if you disappear completely - I just found it in time - funnily enough it happened exactly this time last year - 'cept I don't find it funny

If you have any existing pages that stand well in the serps I would be wary of making changes as your site has probably been scraped by now by umpteen sites and you will be may be hit by a dup content penalty straight away once your updates have been uploaded. It's not guaranteed that you'll get dumped, just something to be wary of, etc.

Do parts of site having random content scripts help stop dup content, as page is never the same?

Depends if the search engine reads just the script or the dynamic results of the script, etc. If the latter, then this helps.

I dunno. Don't know how deep Google looks at php includes, but others should know. I would suggest that they will at least look (if not now then will do later) at least one layer deep down into includes in their algo processes. I would do if I was them, etc. From your point of view though even if it does I could still see you being hit by a dup content penalty.

Goes back to the old thing of what trigger dup content, I try to make all my pages different, if I use a feed I try to add my own copy around it with some php content added into the page.
I will just keep on trucking not going to lose sleep over it, some sites MSN likes some yahoo likes some google likes, some have a type in following. None earn very much anymore but hey ho

Whatevers in the PHP include will be rendered into html by the server anbd the search engine will just see the html....no php code at all.

If you include does rotating content the SE will see different content in HTML form each time it visits your site.
