No noticable difference for me, but google dont like my sites anymore!!
Would be interested to know of peoples experience if people are dropping who knows I may go up?
Anyone seen big drops/changes in the serps today? or is it just me?

I suffered some major drops today - this seems to be happening 2 - 3 times a year.
Drop out altogether - then slow regain previous positions over 1-2 months, sometimes with slight improvement - then everything is fine for a few months then the whole process starts again...
I was wondering if it might be my web hosting - if my site was down when google crawled, they start removing it from the index - find it again and start to re-include it?
Might be time to cough up for a dedicated server
Very frustrating, just when you think all is going well, Google bites again. The last serious drop was December last year. This one is not as bad, I just hop ewe can creep back up again. Maybe Google is taking a real stand on (largly) affiliate sites?
your right! oh rollox
I checked the same term this morning and I was number 1, now im not on first page for global but 4th for UK.
Ah its going to be a lean winter in the morley household.

Google seems to have dropped my main site completely - traffic down to zero!
MSN and Yahoo are providing much better results
Interest to know which 'sector' your dropped sites are in 'morleymouse' - hopefully this update won't stick and all will be good again in the world
the one that i noticed is fashion, but its back up top now?
But when I checked earlier I was at the office, so different IP -but both in sheffield. Confusing
keep you posted

I looked on webmaster world and they haven't even declared an update. So it aint really is it, it's just movement. I had been working one page up from the lower leagues to 12th position and then this happens, oh well, just about to get back to page one and top ten and this happens.
Christmas, bah humbug!
Lee, im surprized that this 'movement / update' wasnt in your favour as you lost your google rankings the exact same week as i did... now mine have come back!!
Its sad that my sites full of content (which have taken months to build) do poor in google, yet my old spammy pages (which took 2 minutes to build) have re-appeared in the serps and are getting traffic again....
And there was me thinking content is supposed to be king???... never found this to be the case with google yet!

Yeah, i found lots of drops today. Same as last Dec, lots of none content spammy stuff at the top and me at the bottom....
Lets hope it doesn't last too long.
Lots of big drops for me too on some sites.
I've been thinking about retiring so this may just force the issue! Mixed feelings!

Just been checking my stats for the last few days and my main site has been totally bombed out of the water on Google since 22/09/05. Bit of a downer to say the least. Still, I've been working on a new project this month, and Google can swivel for my advertising £££ - I'll be concentrating on Mirago and Overture.
Did it kick in around midday ?
I changed something in a google account on a content based campaign and have been scratching my head since, traffic has dived massively and it should have actually increased so this could explain it... hmm it better do as nothing else can lol.
I'm suffering a major drop in traffic and income. I haven't slept well for four days as I'm at webmasterworld all day trying to find a reason and solution.
Try adding &filter=0 to your search url and you might see your site at the original spot. If you do, your site is under a filter of some kind.
