    Your 404 error page has;

<meta name="robots" content="index, follow"> in the head, why set a directive for se's to index an error page? (yahoo particularly doesn't like this)

Create a sitemap for yahoo in the format of a list of urls, eg.

    http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/
    http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/balamory.asp
    http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/bbqs.asp
    http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/bicycles.asp
    http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/bidets.asp
    http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/bouquets.asp
    http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/bracelets.asp
    http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/bras.asp
    http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/briefcases.asp
    http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/brum.asp
    http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/car-tv
    http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/cards.asp
    http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/cufflinks.asp
    http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/cutlery.asp
    etc.

call the file urllist.txt , ftp it into your site and submit it here (put around 1,000 urls in there to start with)

    http://submit.search.yahoo.com/free/request

It should take less than a week to see some change, if not, then you are definitely suffering a manual adjustment.

If this works, you can stick the £500 in the first charity box you see.

This is gripping stuff... my partner has had this problem for years, one page being indexed... frustrating aint it! Truth be known, its my fault I think, it used to be my website, in the days b4 I knew any better, I used a company to submit the website, all they did was submit the index page. Since then, nada apart from the index page showing up.

Just found 5.000 pages listed on Yahoo I didnt know about!

They are listed as my IP not my domain which probably hasnt helped rankings so Ive setup an htaccess fix and will wait and see if it gets me back ranking.

Comparestore - I checked you too but you dont have the same issue unfortunately
