    I'd be interested if anyone knows whether it's worth writing Meta Tags for an Affiliate site. Are they still picked up by all spiders? I know that Inktomi Slurp still uses them.

    They are certainly still used in many Affiliate sites, and many have extra parts that I'm not familiar with.

    <META http-equiv="EXPIRES" content="+1">
    <META name="revisit" content="14 days">

    Any help would be very useful.

    A good title always helps, if only to ensure the user knows what the page is about, opinion on the rest is divided although most people assume they are pretty much ignored, we still use them in every site we build though because it doesn't take long to add them.

    Firstly, hi Mark

    I would advise anybody to always included meta tags, including decription and keyword meta tags. Although google, yahoo, msn etc etc don't use them anymore as specifically as they used to, they do included them as page content and as others have said in the thread, they do help to get pages ranked under the keywords that are used.

    As lond as the decription and keywords are relavent to the page, it can never hurt to included them on any site.
