I havn't noticed any PR change on any of my sites but I have had a few totally wiped off the board

I made the tradgic mistake of using 'backfill' from a search feed which obviously outweighs the original content on the sites. I'm having a real bummer of a day today checking my sites, over 8 of them have now got nothing in the google index. Interestingly they still have a cache, but are not included in the search results.

I would be interested to hear if anybody else has had a PR update or has noticed any big changes in their sites positions in the google index.

My otehr sites were showing no change. I must add now though that the site that gained the new PR has now reverted to a white bar so obviously they are playing around with something.

I'm also inclined to think that googles tummy is rumbling - Any new update couldn't get any worse for me at the moment - time for me to go get drunk and get some practice in for tommorrow night in Bristol

Having similar nightmare ... site that had all its pages listed on Google (although I admit not all highly placed) has all but disappeared.

Spent a good deal of time trying to figure out why and have no idea

Can honestly say I haven't done anything dodgy!

Any changes that might help mean altering a lot of pages ... HUGE sigh.

Think that drink might be a good idea!

    Hi

Google is going through a PR and backlink update at the moment, but this can sometimes take a while before you see it roll out across all of the datacentres and on the toolbar, while the update is going on, you do tend to see some strange results - but I think it's best not to worry too much and just wait and see what happens!

(and yes, a drink does sometimes help!)

likewsie; a few of our new sites jumped from 0 to PR4 the day before yesterday, and then back to 0 again yesterday. I thnk it's all just in the middel of doing something.

to check what's going on with PR there a loads of free tools...

I like this one best http://livepr.raketforskning.com/

It seems to show most of the Google data centres and is pretty easy to understand - though it doesnt try to predict what you will end up with

Here's one that tries to tell you what you might get...

Hi Fiona, that tool that shows toolbar pr and live pr is really useful, haven't seen that one before. Have used the iwebtools one but that seems to always over-estimate future pr. Another one I've used is

http://www.seologs.com/pagerank/curr...rentpr-dc.html - which highlights the new 'Big Daddy' datacentres that are rolling out.

I generally find that trying a few is the best way to do it, to try and get a good overall picture. Also worth remembering that pr isn't the be all and end all! So anyone who didn't fare so well on this update it isn't the end of the world!

Thanks for the free tools fifimac. I just tried them and found my site that I have been trying for months to get some PR has gone from 0 to 2 which has at least given me some incentive to carry on with this site. Lets hope the PR stays at least there and gets higher as one of the tools you suggested predicts a PR of 4
