    Our sites show even more results so id say google is going ahead with it and just dropped you

    that is a problem they have been having. i think this is why they have bonked the indexing and are re-doing it.

    the effect isn't just on my sites, i've seen it on around a dozen sites i've investigated. i don't believe i ever stated it was on one site...

    no your quite right you didnt but the fact that its just mentions your sites sort of sugguested one thing really

    well i manage around 30 websites. i rarely have need to check outside these as it provides quite a diverse cross section, of old, new, ecommerce and content

    hows your site doing now? there are hundreds of people experiencing the effect. check the sitepoint forums, it's a bit better than a4u for se info.

    so that would explain the drastic changes in my serps lately... I thought it was because I was slacking on fresh content.

    lots of weird stuff happening lately, even with PR.. a new site with about 2 incoming links went from PR 0 to PR 9, ive had a page 1/2 site go to page 14.. blegh..

    Mm... I've noticed the effects as well - fortunately my PR has stuck at 3, but Google has dropped quite a lot of my pages (gone from around 200 listed pages to just 3!)

    I have emailed Google to check that my site hasn't been penalised, and the response was indeed that my site hasn't been penalised. According to the Google cache tool (www.yourcache.com) at some datacenters my site has "-1" pages cached - hmmm....

    Meanwhile, my MSN, Altavista, and Yahoo search engine saturation continues to rise... maybe I'll be totally reliant on those soon...
