    Hello Guys

Simple question; When it comes to your best keywords, how many unique visitors do you get from Yahoo per day?

( please specify the estimated number of search per month for that particular keyword according to overture)

According to Overture Keyword Selector Tool, there was around 20.000 searches for my main keywords last month.

Now I have got third postion for that particular keywords on yahoo but I am geting only around 30 uniques visitors per day.

    I was expecting much more.

I dont ask you guys to be very specific unless you want to.
I simply would like to know how accurate is the Overture Keywords Selector Tool.

Ad genereally are you happy or not with the traffic that you are getting from yahoo.

    Best Regards!

Overture suggestion is a waste of time, as is word tracker et el.
It is difficult for some to compare, yahoo, google --unless you have exact same positions on both for exact same keywords. Also the market you are in will be a deciding factor.

I have in the past had this luxury, yahoo converts (to actual sales) far better than google, in fact even msn is not far behind google "for actual sales"

Granted google brings most visitors, most are tyre kickers, or adsense checkers

overture is better traffic but its so much less of it. If you spend 5 days working on a project and then find your only getting 30 clicks per day it makes the project unviable. Whereas once you set up the project where the traffic comes from is irrespective as long as its targetted to the term so google is definately the king there but like the others say i am sure there is lots of fraud in these clicks.

All right guys , thanks for your views but if overture keywords generator is so useless to figure out the nmber of clicks you might get...what can we use instead?

And give us some figures, how many unique visitors do you get from Yahoo?

While Overture may not give an accurate number of searches, it is still useful for comparing different keywords, i.e. if according to Overture keyword 1 is getting 10,000 searches and keyword 2 is getting 500 searches it obviously makes sense to concentrate on keyword 1

As for what traffic comes from where, looking at one of my sites then for natural search traffic over the last 3 months 8% comes from Yahoo!, 5% from MSN, 3% from all others, and 84% from Google.
Never argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.

If ignorance is bliss then some of the people I know must be orgasmic.

I sincerely believe that anyone who wants to get proper traffic from Yahoo Search Engine would have to target keywords that get estimated traffic over the 1 million marks according to Overture estimates.

I have tried Wordtracker, Nichebot and google in order to get traffic estimations, but to be honest I am yet to see anything that is anything more than a rough estimate.

I even tried Hitwise data (costs over 80k per year) and it was no better.

    - Google 72%
    - Yahoo 7%
    - MSN 5%
    - AOL 5%
    - Ask Jeeves 4%

I use internet tools and programs to give me ideas for keywords, but often find that my brain is the best tool. I just think of the main search terms I would use.

Look like overture search estimator is not really useful, a bit misleading i should say....
And if anyone wants proper traffic they better make sure that they are of google top 10.....

I really though that yahoo was playing a bigger part, but google simply seems to be too big!
