Doubly ironic considering that in the Irish Republic Good Friday is not a public holiday.

gotta love google
sent an email regarding an issue as I didn't have phone number to hand on machine I was on, part of reply :
----
"Google is closed Friday, April 14 through and including Monday, April 17
due to the Easter holiday. We appreciate the urgent nature of your
message
We look forward to providing you with the most effective advertising
available."
----
It's a multi billion pound company and it takes 5 days off and yet it can say it appreciates the "urgent nature" of my message..
Well at least it "looks forward to providing me with the most effect advertising available"... at some later date I assume when they actually have 7 day a week service in place..
is it just me that thinks this is a farce.. a business taking our advertising money 24 hour 365 day a week yet takes a 5 stretch off![]()
end rant.. where's my smirnoff..

Never argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.
If ignorance is bliss then some of the people I know must be orgasmic.
Unbelievable!
They could at least outsource their support to somewhere that doesn't have bank holidays!
It's nice to see a major company honour public holidays in this way. Not like other that want to open on Christmas day.Originally Posted by Shane
Yup fair point..holidays are all good... but 5 days is a long time to be closed down when issues need resolving promptly .. google are taking our money 24/7/365 yet have a 5 day stretch off.. it's poor service in this day and age ..
I'm sat here with a trademark issue which I'm authorised to bid on, yet someone hasn't seen the note on the account and has dissapproved ads for it about 10 mins before skiving off for 5 days .. so now I've lost a fair wedge of revenue,.. at least 5 days.. maybe more before it's resolved..
I had a similar issue and they resolved it there and then whilst on the phone.Originally Posted by Shane
