I see mention of PR web sites. I assume there is a way to check what PR rating your site is, but what do one need to do?

Hey mate, you need to get Google toolbar: http://toolbar.google.com

It will be additional toolbar to your internet explorer and there will be red bar - PageRank

Don't worry about PR at all. It's almost worthless as a true measure of how likely a site is to rank, just work on getting quality, on-topic links coming in

PR is a great way to wind up seo experts, go to webmasterworld.com, and tell them how great the google pagerank is, then sit back and watch them all freak out :-)

Ive done it a couple of times on various seo forums, really, if your completely bored, try it out it can be quite amusing!

I personally think it is worth using the Google Toolbar as getting an indication of Google PR is useful.

Um, yes - in Bulgarian. The .com index looks different....

BTW, it also looks like the #1 in the .bg index is being driven by the domain root authority effect - you're riding battle-zone.net to the top
