How Long Would You Wait Before Re-Optimising

I've recently lost a few places on MSN, but I know from a little experience that SERPs can bounce up and down for a little while.

My question is how long do you normally wait before considering to re-optimise the content?

Assuming it was optimised in the first place, I don't think you'll achieve much by re-optimizing - actually it could have an adverse effect.

Better strategy is to keep adding links and content.

I've left stuff that has gone from second place on google down to 15th, then not in the first 100... only to find two weeks later it's back.. two weeks after that it's gone again etc...

so Personally if it has ranked ok then I don't touch it if it drops.. I'll bang another few links in and wait.

MSN and Yahoo seems a bit more stable for me.. I'm either in or I'm out..

I can't be doing with it all.. how the guys that only do SEO put up with it I'll never know

Just do a site and leave the bugger alone, if it still does a few quid after the several hundred/thousand a year later, then you've beaten google.

if it's doing the same, then you've surpassed every known 'gonna.... you up' google algorithm known.

You can develop whatever you like, I aint using it.
