i think you might have covered it
Hi,
How does Google know that I own site A and site B and
what can I do to prevent Google from knowing this.
I'm thinking where a site is hosted matters.
I'm thinking that whois information might be used.
I'm thinking that linking might be a factor.
Anything else?
The reason I ask is that I have a few sites hosted
on completely different web hosts, but Google still
seems to think that there is a "relationship".
I would like to build a new site that does not have
this relationship, if possible. I'm not the author
tons of dodgy sites (whatever dodgy means!) just
the author of a site that Google doesn't seem to like
anymore (because it knows how much the site earns
from Adsense most likely - talk about flawed business
models! Lol)
Any help will be most appreciated
Ta,
Steve
i think you might have covered it
Ah! I must remember to talk to myself more often! Lol
Cheers.
It is suggested that Google uses the Nominet whois for .co.uk domains.
It is also against Nominet's t&c's so I imagine it will start to get a bit historical.

It has to be Whois.
I have sites with no links between them at all, but if I search the name of some of my sites, I find the others listed as well.

Could also be picked up if you use the same adword/adsense account to manage multiple sites.
Some of my sites that have been "linked" together by Google, don't have any Adwords or Adsence on them.Originally Posted by eskimo
