I have just setup a new affiliate Website at www.value-hotels.co.uk
that Google crawled through on the 11th August but it only indexed the
homepage. I took great care when creating the site to use search engine
friendly URLs and I also created a sitemap at www.value-hotels.co.uk/sitemap
so I dont understand why Google hasnt started crawling deeper into the site.

I am now starting to try to build more links into the site, any more advice
on what I need to do to get Google to crawl deeper into the site would be
    very much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    MM

Easy - add more links (continuously), keep updating the site with unique content and more products and wait.... at least 6 months.

Creating a site with some original content might help too.

Sorry but what does your site give the world that Alpharooms own site doesn't already do better.

As far as I can see...........................nothing.

Well, your main problem is lack of content. For ever kilometer of links you have on the left side, you need at last 1/2 kilometer of content on the right side where the text was meant. If i look at link versus content density, it is like 0.01%. You should have at last 50% of content versus links. The heavy navigation is killing you. In google eyes your site looks like spam site.

Add content else it wont work.

Ok, alternative - minimize links. Create something like dynamic menu. this wont give you much SEO/linking power but at last you will have functional site.

And of course good related links. But ok, without content no links will help you.

Generating content in your niche is very easy, just do an review of hotels. Pick best pictures and describe best things they offer, add something from local geography and history and make it interesting and usefu. Of course, you wont be able to supply this info in one month on your own. Hire somebody to help you with.

Eeek, that does indeed look like a spam site in the eyes of Google. You have a fairly good domain - find a niche. Without a *lot* of linking power, you will only do well in Google if you concentrate on less destinations. Please re-read Sandis' advice; it's very good!

What exactly is the purpose of that "menu" on the left?
That's not a menu - its spam - we know it, Google knows it and I'd guess, even you and Yahoo know it.

Your results suggest that Google is doing it's job. Relevent, original content rates higher.

Unfortunately 1554 links on every page plus 1 banner advert and a search box, simply isn't content. Your site will not only suffer from a poor showing in SERPS, but could also receive a penalty from Google that could take years to remove.

You need to focus on a smaller proportion of hotels and locations and get some unique content built up around them.

I would suggest that you take the hotels from a principle “weekend break” location that the low cost airlines fly to, like Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Prague etc and build up a site around a theme of the city.

I would seriously consider taking your site off line, in its present form, as you are causing that url damage with the present set of pages!

I agree with the advice on here.

I had to go two levels deep to find anything that even remotely resembled content and that was just 20 words. I would also suggest taking this site offline a.s.a.p or it could take years to recover from.

You could think about adding meta tags to each page if you dont know what they are www. google.co.uk will tell you

but as youve already been told get back to the drawing board on your site

imagine your self as a visitor would you want to use it?
