No not at all, it would have no effect on any other pages
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea on the following:
I have site www.12345.com this site has loads of content and does very well in Google.
If we added a new feature to the site (Example: Price comparison shopping), so we had www.12345.com/compareprices or something similar, the price comparison pages would have less unique content to the main site. What effect would this have?
I know the price comparison pages would not do as well as they have less unique content but would it have a negative effect on the main pages that are very content rich?
Regards
Stuart

My guess is that it wouldn't effect the rest of your site, I think google ranks pages individually most of the time, although I guess if the content was really dodgy the domain itself might be tarnished, but generally I think you'll be ok.

Just so long as you do not launch loads of new pages at once then Google should be ok with this m8![]()
