Hi
Can you clear your pm box![]()
Hi,
I am usually billed monthly for my ad spend but have ramped things up for Xmas and have now found out that you get billed every time you hit a limit of £500 on Google Ads.
If things keep going the way they are I shall be billed every 1-2 days.
Is there a way to get this limit increased or put off until I actually see the money from the networks, which will be in about 2 months time.
Do you have a contact phone number for Google Ads? What can I do?
Thanks
Daniel
Hi

Thanks Lee
Arrrr is someone gambling with money they don't have?
I wouldn't rely too much on receiving payments from networks in time, especially over the crimbo period, as I am sure merchants will be late paying a few times.
Anyway to answer your question, I think there maybe a solutions but only if you have an account manager. I know I have been billed once every 3 days and thats for the past 18 months or so now
OOOO Lee - if you have an answer, can you post it here so to help others save the same question being asked again in the future?
You can have it done to pay monthly but I think you have to have 3 consecutive months of spending £3k I think to get this (well it was this a while ago).
Cheers

I was going to pm him Google Adwords phone number
But not sure if i should post it over the forum as google dont make it public on the adwords page.
Also on another topic this why i choose to pay by bank transfer!
Thanks Lee
Hi,
I have cleared out my PM's now.
I did receive an email about 2 weeks ago from Google and I'm sure it had some phone numbers in it, but it looked quite impersonal and more like a template email. Problem is I can't find it now.
If you email Google, they can increase your credit limit if you still want to pay by credit card.

Just spoke to Google.
They said you have to spend £2,000 a month for 3 consecutive months in order to have your credit limit raised to £750.
Which would mean you would get billed 3+ times a month.
Well that's what I was told, I'm sure other people must have perhaps different deals.
Thanks to everyone for their help.
Dan
We get billed every day without fail, i didn't realise they even did credit.
Nothing to see here...
We get billed constantly - it feels like every hour! (multiple accounts in My Client Centre) - getting worthwhile credit terms is verging on impossible.
Can you not use the credit cards to help the cashflow? Definitely make sure you have the funds to cover it though as you don't want to get stung for late network payments.

You can increase the credit limit on post-pay billing up to around £8k if you ask nicely.
If you need more than that, odds are they'll move you over to invoicing terms, but the size of your monthly credit will depend very much on history of company/the external credit rating assessed to your company.
The minimum spend criteria is £2500 per month for three months so they can see a credit history on your account
They may increase your credit card limit to £750 ish from £500 if you ask though, not that this helps that much usually.
If you don't meet the criteria you have 2 choices : struggle until you do or if you are prepared to show them some accounting data to prove your business is running profitably they will consider that but it will have to be proper accounts from the accountant, and normally they'll only do this if you can convince them you intend to spend a sizeable amount rather than just over the £2500 threshold etc.
We get billed daily and it is a pain when accounting
We get billed £500+ several times a day.
Don't risk increasing your limit. If the amounts get too large they can often be declined by your credit cards automatic fraud detection procedures.
MBNA are a nightmare for this.
The best seems to be Amex Platinum and you get 1.5% cashback.
