Yahoo! Small Business Hosting

Hi everyone,

My friend has just set up a website for his personal use getting hosting through Yahoo! Small Business. Now this package includes automatic inclusion into there search results, I was a bit weary but a couple days later there it was! and the next day Google had indexed it without submitting it to Google!

Now I have read that if Yahoo indexes your site Google will follow suit, but I didn't think it would be this soon!

Anyone else had any experience with this at all?

Yup. Yahoo seems to have the faster crawl / index cycle (at the moment, at least), and is easier to get decent positions in. I think it's related to the heavier processing load that Google applies to data - it seems to take them longer to decide whether they they think you are a quality site or not
