It's against adsense t&c's to disclose these figures

ooooo *goes to look*
Confidentiality. You agree not to disclose Google Confidential Information without Google's prior written consent. "Google Confidential Information" includes without limitation:......
(b) click-through rates or other statistics relating to Site performance in the Program provided to You by Google;
I knew about confidentiality of the obvious stuff but never realised they restricted all discussion on accounts (bit over the top ain't it?).
...well you learn something new everyday.![]()

depends on the site, if placed well you can get 15-20%. If arbitrage site then you're looking at 60-80%
Average though is around 5-10%
p.s. these aint my stats, just averages
Thanks Zink ~ I've recently taken over a site (and never really used adsense) guess all I wanted to know is what kinda CTR to expect from a 3000(odd) unique page website with 234,222 organic page views a month (Octobers figures)?

So what about hosting a poll instead so it's anonomous?
And give ranges for people to select for CTR, eg 1-5% 6-10% 11-20% etc
Also a poll for your average paid click and your higher paid click.
I think the outcome would be close to what zink says anyway

I've never thought that adsense offered a particularly good return on traffic for most sectors, depending on your sector you might be better looking at Miva or forming relationships with a couple of larger merchants in the sector for a decent cpa. If you can guarantee 200k ad views a month you can normally negotiate a slightly higher cpa - if you're not sure about the site you should definitely do some split testing first to see the results.
