Apart from my own SmegSearch and Forum Promotion (sorry couldn't resist), I have used yahoo and best of the web in the past. Aviva and alive are supposed to be good as well but I havnt used them.
I was wondering what website directories you guy like best. Other than the major search engines, I use www.ukbest50.co.uk and www.dmoz.org; does anyone know of any more.

Yes, it's a case of listing @ http://www.interweblinks.com - that's essential![]()
Seriously though I list at Splut.com (free), Limey Search (3.95 for two dir.) and I seem to be guaranteed mostly to get in the top two on Google on most niche non-affiliate competing sites. Obviously that includes the keyword being in the page title.
I've got 3 of my sites on these in some form or other.
All free

http://www.yell.com/
I pay for this one

My web design company is on all of these and two dating sites that I do.
There's a huge list of free directories to submit to here:

It took hours and hours to actually list all my sites but, hopefully the hours will be worth it in a few months. There's also a seperate piece of software that I recommend- namely the website submitter

One thing that strikes me from that forum is the immense damage being wrought to the UK (and America) by everyone knowing the language - shamefully even better than myself and the natives in grammar terms.
Thanks guys!
Certainly a lot to be going at - Thanks again!
