I have a few sites which were based on an affiliate feed and little other content.

Google traffic is minimal, as all but index is supplemental and I am looking to start from scratch. What would be the best way, would it be to

    * Just do new pages on the domain leaving the supplemental pages
    * Overwrite the content on each page ( site has 1000's of pages of single product) which would be time consuming/
    * Delete all content by Index and start from scratch.
    * Scrap whole domain and start from scratch

Just interested in peoples opinions, I have a few old sites in same boat and I don't know best way to proceed, as they are earning nothing I plan to experiment.

What sort of external links do you have to the domain and the various pages?

Just had a look at IBL and I have a few from my own sites, and then it looks like scrapper listings!! where my site is listed for some MFA site.

Would it be worth doing a exercise to get more inbounds.

Yes links are always an idea but I was more meaning to answer your question it depends on what sort of links you have to the domain/pages. If theres little there then thered be less of an issue with changing more

If you've got a couple in the same boat then you could run an experiment and try one thing on each and see which has the fastest effect

There is a chance that your sites have been flagged by Google as a "network" if you are linking them together.
It is strongly believed that Google uses their ISP status to check WHOIS information and identify networks this way.
Even if you remove the links and add some content you may never recover the rankings to a sufficient level.

I would therefore recommend you start from scratch and only exchange links with other websites that you do not own.
They key is to make the site interesting enough so that when you request a link exchange the webmaster wants to link back.
Over time you will then attract one-way links as people will appreciate what you have to offer.
