Hi
I use a jump script to hide my links ( well in process of converting them all ) i wondered what implications are for having the long affiliate links on sites ie.
Does google mind lots of affiliate links
Or does google prefer them hidden.
Basically i now use a jump script and have used a robots txt file to stop google picking up the php file with all the link codes in.
Whats standard practice?
I'd be grateful for any advice.
Thanks
Phil

Thats what I do also, although frustratingly Google seems determined to index all my links regardless! As far as I'm aware a lot of affiliates do this, and there's nothing to suggest Google doesn't like it.
I find it gives me huge manageability on my sites, so if anything needs changing because of situations such as merchants changing networks or re-jigging their sites I can do it in minutes rather than hours!

Hiya
Thanks for the feedback, reassuring to know im doing it right, only took me a year or 2 to find out about jump scripts !!
Kirsty have you tried a robots txt file? i made one few days ago and i tested it in google webmaster tools and it successfully blocked it from viewing my goto.php file.

Yeah... I've got one but it seems to have ignored it. I should test it though.. am off to do that forthwith!:tup
