Seems to be fine now, about 20 minutes ago it wouldn't work at all: google com, google uk, (google spain worked though, first foreign tld I thought of!), google analytics, gmail, nothing. Then it was intermittent, it would display search results, then clicking on the next page would whitescreen... all other sites worked OK because I went to Yahoo instead. A colleague here said he also experienced issues and went to Ask Jeeves instead... peculiar

I`ve had this happen to me before, but it wasn't google, it was the ISP's name servers. Found that I could connect to google fine from other machines on the net, just not through my PC. An hour later it was back up again.

It does happen occasionally, especially on some ISP's, my previous job used Andrews & Arnold as their ISP and I used to get cut off frequently from sites because their nameservers kept corrupting.

The way round it is to edit your /windows/system32/etc/drivers/host file, so it pulls direct from that and doesn't need the ISP's nameservers. I`ve put a lot of the common sites I go to in mine, as its much quicker to resolve names speeding browsing up a bit.

Peculiar that Google was down or that your colleague went to Ask Jeeves?!

Google seems a bit flaky for me too now, haven't been able to get in Gmail for the last 30 minutes yet Search Queries are fine.
