One of my sites has fallen out of love with google, checking my stats today, I noticed that some has done a site search of my site

    in stats site:mysite.com

when i checked who was doing a site search it came up as

    Region New York
    City New York
    ISP Google Inc

when i do a search on the IP address it comes up as

    OrgName: Google Inc.
    OrgID: GOGL
    Address: 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway
    City: Mountain View
    StateProv: CA
    PostalCode: 94043
    Country: US

Just wondering why google would be doing a site search on my site, could they be manually reviewing my site? they only did a site: they did not visit any other pages.
or could it be a robot

Just a bit puzzled so wonder if anyone else seen this before

I've seen it quite often - I was once intrigued as to why I had such a big fan in California before I realised?

    I think it's just a robot?

    Yeah that makes sense.

I tried that accelerator once - I'd recommend anyone to stay well clear :td
