Thread: Am I in heaven?

Sent a mailing out today to my member-base, and got an auto-responder message which caught my eye. It's anti-spam software that "pings" the sender to check if there is a valid reply address.

If not, the message is deleted as spam. If so, then the message gets through, and the sender is informed that their message has been delivered and they are now on the "safe list". Contained within this e-mail is an affiliate code to try out a free trial version of the software.

I was intrigued enough to have a look at the site, and they offer residual income on all purchased software (renewable every 12 months) and an upfront bounty payment of $6. All the e-mail auto-replies are automatically embedded with your affiliate link.

It is MLM, but I am starting to come around to their way of thinking a little. All the people I sell this product to will be automatically selling to other people just by using the service, so why shouldn't I get a cut of their sales? The only think I can't get my head around is the fact that the more people I personally sell this to, the less residual commission I get?

If anyone fancies having a look at this, my affiliate link is BlockSpamNow.com/r/13985 or the non-affy link is BlockSpamNow.com.

I might be missing something, but this seems like my perfect program:
    Residual Income
    Viral
    Anti-SPAM

Now if they did an anti-scumware one, that would just make my day...

    I'm just having a look.

From what I can tell you get $6 per referal + $2/year for the first 12 (3+3*3) then $1/year for the next 88560

But you also get referals from members above you, so you could make from just that. I think.

I seem to making a habbit of jumping on NFS's ideas! Dont forget to get better odds on the lottery everyone!

    Cheers for that Kieron<img src=http://www.gamers-forums.com/smilies/contrib/ruinkai/biggthumpup.gif ALT=":thumb">

I reckon it could be a very good program - It really caught my eye when I saw the auto-email as it was different from the anti-spam e-mails I normally get, and seeing "join our affiliate program and earn residual income" at the bottom really hooked me.

I'm going to sell the "Free 30 day trial" to NFS members first, and if all goes well with that, I think it may be worth doing some PPC on it.

It's the viral aspect that really interests me about this - Every message that is sent to genuine e-mail users informing them that they have been added to the safe list contains your affiliate link, and do they:
    a) want to stop SPAM on their system
    b) join the affiliate program

I've put it to work on my hotmail accounts, and it seems to be working very well so far, I've only had 1 SPAM e-mail get through, as opposed to the normal 150 a day.

Let me know how you get on with it!

Unfortunately it kept hanging on the two PCs I tried it on (winXP). I'll probably try it again later, its just a pity the app isn't a little more polished. E.g. if a 'ping' fails it seems to delete the spam, but leave the non delivery report to be collected.

Well, I tried this product and frankly I hate it !

It doesn't integrate very well with your normal email client. If you go to check your mail, and have received some spam since the last time ST had a look at your inbox you still get the spam. It would be better if ST automatically did its stuff when you check your inbox with your mail client. On the other hand it has deleted non-spam email that I can't not now get at - this is actually WORSE than receiving spam !

I simply had to have a rant as I am still fuming at some of the email I have now lost - it was important.

Have had several spam emails about this already today. Do they have a anti-spam policy?

Just got some spam from this, to an address only used on a website which is virtually spam free .
It appears to have come from a pc in belgium. Oh well, another address bites the dust!

Might be time to write my own little spam blocker.

Wow John, thanks for bringing that our attention. It looks great. Would love to sign-up in your downline, but couldn't find any link just for the affiliate program. I'll try the free trial, anyhow, and then progress from there - it could be just the product I need for myself as well as flog to others, as the amount of spam I receive is becoming unbearable.

I have had a lot of success promoting this spam-free, virus-free email prog. over the last six months. Yours seems similar, but, like you, I'm impressed by the potential of it signing-up customers virally that earn us commission.

Seems brilliant, but being the cynic I am, I'm going to go over with a fine tooth-comb. It's too good to be true! Surely there must be a catch?

Thanks once again for telling us about it - and now I can recopricate for you for signing up in our downline with Equitalk
