well done - after countless attempts you found the right forum to post to
Hi, just wanted to take the opportunity to say hello, and as a merchant, introduce myself to all affiliates using this forum. I also need a little help, and feedback regarding mobile phone affiliate campaigns, if you are able to.
We are launching our website soon - www.zipmobile.co.uk, a new division of a very well established, and largest Orange Distributor in the U.K. Our site is pretty simple - five packages with free incentives for the customer, pretty much sales focused and easy to navigate.
Basically, we intend to launch an affiliate campaign through one or more of the leading networks. We have co-brand campaigns in the pipeline with some prominent websites, however we feel affiliate marketing could be better suited to our packages, and payment model.
I have spent some time trawling through the various forums, looking for feedback regarding mobile campaigns. Most of the comments seem positive towards mobile campaigns, however I have also found many negative posts - usually relating to conversion rates, payment models and, for one reason or another, 'suspensions'.
So, if you would be kind enough, and it would be greatly appreciated, I need some help;
What would you consider to be your ideal payment model? A lower cost per sale or a higher cost per connection? More frequent payment dates, such as 7 days? Which network would you suggest are the better to deal with, regarding mobile campaigns?
Essentially, if we pay higher commissions, with more frequent payment dates, and provide better mobile packages than dialaphone et al, would this be enough to inspire confidence with affiliates ? Or do we need to offer an entirely new model, more tailor made for affiliates (and if so what is it!)
Apologise for the 20, however I figure if we can adapt a little more to suit your requirements, we should maybe see a few more encouraging posts regarding mobile campaigns! We would like zipmobile to be a winner amongst affiliates, and will work hard to ensure so. Your feedback will contribute towards this.
Best, and thanks..
Matt, zipmobile.
By the way, our site is almost complete, although currently undergoing some tweaking with graphics, so please bare this in mind if you check it out.

Matt are you still looking for affiliates? I thought I would give dotmobiles a try, so I looked at your site and emailed affiliates@dotmobiles.com on Monday, but still no reply as of today (Friday).
Send it to the address in his profile. It's the one i use, and in general, his replies are fast.
Hello Mark
I received emails ok to my affiliate address on Monday, so it should be working?
No matter, please send it to matt@dotmobiles.com
Thanks for expressing an interest; I look forward to working with another quality affiliate on this forum!
Best
Matt

The first posting on this thread was by myself, when I was on the payroll for another company - I walked, and the website didn’t bother launching.
My website is dotmobiles.com - not zip!!! Just wanted to point that out as that first post is months old.
All current affiliates who work with me from this forum already know this of course! But just wanted point it out to anyone who doesn’t know.
Cheers
Matt
Zip Mobile wouldn't have been anything to do with EBS and Dave Breith would it?
Why'd you walk?![]()
Myron
Sure, how did you know that? Have no idea who Dave Brieth is though. I’m not aware that he works for them.
I’m intrigued that someone who uses this forum would have known an Orange distributor - let alone know they have a DM division branded Zip. You must be trade?
The zip site is down as they don’t have anyone to market it - I don’t think they will bother to be honest... it didn’t really launch in the first place. Very old-fashioned company, I think they will just stick to distributing and fulfilling kit.
I have to say though - they are a great distributor.
