Can anyone shed any light on the former emagazineshop.com affiliate program ... before they moved to CJ?

You used to be able to login at referrer.subscriptions.co.uk/referrer/ but of course this is now a 404.

I have sent a couple of emails to them and have had no reply (as usual because they are disgraceful at communicating with affiliates)

I am sure other affiliates here are due money too from this program. Has anyone been paid?

According to www.emagazineshop.com/referrer/ you'll be able to access their new management suites the 2nd week of November. So if it's new, presumably it has a new url. It doesn't say if the new system was launched on time, or what the url is. The page does include a contact number for their affiliate manager, so it's probably worth phoning them.

I called Ian Rhodes earlier in the week. The CJ system is to compliment their internal affiliate program and is being used to attract overseas affiliates.

Their new internal system is installed. There has been a delay in implementing the data, however they hope it will be ready on Tuesday.

I have to admit their communication with their affiliates has been poor, in that I have received no notification prior to the upgrade, or during the upgrade. I was waiting for the 2nd week in November like everybody else. It doesn't take long to change a web page and the message could have been changed to keep us up to date.

With that said, each time I have telephoned them they have been more than helpful, and even supplied sales figures for the last couple of months, so I am confident sales are still being tracked.

Hope this helps .... roll on Tuesday!!

Back up & Running!

Dear Affiliate,

It's taken a lot longer than we previously expected, but, we can finally announce the relaunch of our Affiliate Management Centre!

Many thanks for your patience over the past three months. eMagazineshop.com has transferred to a completely new site structure which has taken up a considerable amount of our technical department's time. The new facilities allow us to offer both the consumer and our partners are far more tailored site and product offering.

Please visit /admin.emagazineshop.com to enter our new management centre with your existing username and password. You can now access links to each category of eMagazineshop.com. More importantly you can see how much money you're earning through linking to eMagazineshop.com. We will be placing more features live over the next few months.

Re: emagazineshop - dodgy or what???

Hey'all

Nobody can tell me there isn't something very dodgy going on at emagazine.

We have had them on the site for 18 months and had 7 sales in all that time.

Less than 24 hours ago we transferred to CJ - guess what - 5 sales within the first day.

Dear Affiliate,

I'm very concerned to read the comments stated above. We have a policy of replying to affiliate enquiries within 48 hours. We have a general email address affiliate-support@emagazineshop.com where you enquiries will be directed to all members of our affiliate staff.

Our Affiliate Newsletter detailed the downtime to the Management Centre. We had to, unfortunately, delay the release of our new Centre to make sure that all information from our old system was transferred correctly. There have been a couple of problems with usernames being truncated during the transfer which I can only apologise for. We have not experienced any downtime with our tracking system during the transition.

To take our Affiliate Program forward we very much rely on feedback from our affiliates. The eMagazineshop.com Affiliate Program has been running for 3 years now and we now have over 3000 active UK partners. A number of new areas will be launched in our management centre over the next few months. I'm relying on for feedback to make sure this proves a success. We've increased cookie duration to 30 days which will add significant opportunities to earn revenue through your links.

If you have any further comments please don't hesitate to contact me directly at ian.rhodes@emagazineshop.com.

Many thanks for your time.

Perhaps it might be an idea to give the new program a fresh start from a new slate, now that emagazineshop have transferred over to a new ASP. This hopefully may solve problems with past issues.

For Ian Rhodes, we have not actually really pushed your website significantly and wouldn't have the foggiest idea as to whether we were owed commission or not. But from a neutral perspective, it's encouraging to see that you have taken the time and effort to participate with affiliates on this forum with a genuine interest in feedback from us, whether positive or negative, and taking that business relationship forward, by acknowledging that negative comments in a way can be interpreted as constructive criticism.

Would be be possible for you to offer affiliates a full product listing of your subsciptions, since some of us could generate a significant increase in targeted traffic with this information.

Does anyone know what the minimum payment is to earn a cheque from emagazineshop. I reached £50 some time ago, and have yet to receive a cheque. If it is £50, does anyone have a contact e-mail address? I've tried the general one with no reply.

P.S. I am using the in house tracking, not cj with them

  Re: good luck!

My earlier concerns about Emagazineshops tracking have now been confirmed.

Over 30 sales in the past month on CJ

6 sales in as many months on their program.

No change in the way I promote them at all.

I recently purchased a subscription for myself and was not really impressed with their order process and indeed their service.
All I got was an email saying "Thanks and you'll see your first mag in about 8 weeks!"

8 weeks!! I'd have missed 2 issues at that rate. You can guarentee that I'll buy it one month and it'll be on my doorstep that morning!

Also, as a word of caution if they offer you a prize for a competition. DON'T take it!!
I've been waiting since the end of August for my prizes.
It's starting to make me look like a right rogue to the prize winners!
I email them about once every 2 weeks and I get the same response - It's being dealt with by the publishers.

Bollocks - You just wanted a sh!tload of traffic for nowt off me!

Apologies for spouting off, but they are starting to get on my t!ts
