Kat, no offence, but your post shows a distinct lack of knowledge of the sector.

The words "loans", "rush" and "Christmas" just don't belong together - historically the festive season and specifically the month of December is the worst of all year for anything finance related.

Try again in Jan and Feb, when there usually is a genuine rush for people who panic after seeing their Xmas credit card bills.
