Adwords New Window?

I'm looking to sign up to deliver Google Adwords.

Before I do so please could someone confirm wheter they can be set to open in a new window (so users don't leave your site).

I think all the sites I've seen (except one) have them appearing in the same window which surprises me. Surely a new window is a better option.

Id be really interested to know the site that managed to open it in a new window (PM if you could ta). Ive asked this before and it seemed that there was no way that it could be set to open in a new window.

I'd also be interested to know the URL of the site that was getting them to open in a new page as I've tried everything I could thing of and they always open in the same window.

I think it's probably designed to cut down on multiple clicks, but I've noticed a high proportion of users viewing the pages that I have Google ads on 3 or 4 times in short sucession - so they must be returning to the page and picking another ad.

It's only available to the bigger adsense partner sites. And no news of it rolling out to the rest of us yet!
