How do I link to Amazon so that the user gets a page showing Amazon's price and not a 3rd party's?
E.g. if you look at this Amazon page it (currently) has a price of £17.99 shown, but that's for a 3rd party:
Lego Indiana Jones 2: Amazon.co.uk: PC & Video Games
You can see on the right, under 'more buying choices', that Amazon sells it for £21.83.
What I want is a page like the one it shows except where it shows the Amazon price as the main price it displays with the product details. I know you can get a new & used page where it lists all the 3rd party sellers' prices, but that's not what I'm looking for.
Is it possible to do that?
Thanks Mogga, but I'm not looking for a price comparison. I just want to know if it's possible to link to Amazon and get a page where it shows Amazon's price rather than a 3rd party's.
E.g. if I tell somebody on my site that Amazon are selling the product for £x, but then when I link to Amazon it's showing £y, because it's showing a 3rd party price, then it doesn't look too good. (It doesn't matter if it's cheaper - for what I want I need Amazon's price to be displayed not a 3rd party's)
I don't know if there's a parameter you can add to the Amazon URL to specify which merchant (in this case Amazon's ID) to display so I can override the default and show Amazon's price.
Yay - I think I've worked it out so will share what I found. Basically, you can append the parameter 'm' to the Amazon URL with a value of A3P5ROKL5A1OLE, which is Amazon UK's merchant ID. It then shows you that merchant's offering rather than the default.
So for the example I gave before, the link below is the same other than I appended '?m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE'
www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B002BH3VS8?m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE
That now shows Amazon's prices!
