Does anybody understand the new Amazon tiered commission structure? It almost seems too good to be true.

I.e. yesterday I made £73.80 in commission from products shipped, however my total commission was £273.06!!

Upon closer inspection this seems to be because I have earned a certain amount by way of tier earnings bonus which I then make 250% on from growth target thresholds!

Can this be right? Christmas has indeed come early if it is!

That's my point Aquanuke, if I'm doing better than you then there's something definately wrong!!!! Are your commissions structured the same way as mine? I.e. £73 ish from actual sales and £200 ish from tier bonuses??

    Thanks,

Maybes I'm missing the point, but what's the problem?

You earn when you pass a threshold, earn when you pass a target - you got the money, it's on your account... what's the problem with that?

It's not a problem Jason I'm just slightly worried that it may be wrong and that Amazon have miscalculated.

It just doesn't seem right to make £70 on goods sold then £200 bonus on top of that, just for one day!!!

How you finding the breakdown of where its all from?

If I goto "Earnings By Item it" says I earnt £297.64
and if I do "Total Earnings" it says £234.13

If I click on "Base Refferal fee earning" I get a page not found.

I'm actually doing really well with them and earning more than that even before all the bonuses!

So the amount I'm currently making after the bonuses is incredible!!

But I'm not getting as high a percentage increase as you are. For some reason my 'Growth target earnings bonus %' is only at 50%, even though I've sold nearly double what is required to reach my 250% level.

But looking at the table they give me for my growth bonus % levels there is a top level to earning 250%, whereas for the tier bonus that applies to all sales over a certain level. So maybe I earned 250% while I was in the band, and it's now dropped down to 50% for all my sales over that amount...

Is anyone else here above the top level listed for getting a 250% growth earnings bonus % and still getting 250%, or does it drop back down to 50%?

I'm not getting a growth bonus, so I can't say for sure - but I think I remember the email anouncing the bonuses saying that anything over the top level would get a 50% bonus.

50%'s not too bad, though, and I'm still getting another 30% from my tier bonus. I hope they do something similar next quarter!

I think there could be major changes ahead for Amazon commission - I got an email last week from .com and they are removing the 10.00 cap for electronics items and also replacing the unachievable 15% with some sort of banding - didn't go into full details though.

If they keep the increased commission for easylinks, the tier bonus and the 2.5% commission for marketplace sales then I'll be happy. When you look at the final commission that you can get after all the bonuses their commission rate isn't that bad - and from my experience they convert well too.

You must be the only one then wwwb - I've always found that even where people are clicking through on products that I'm advertising they somehow do something else which means the commission only generates at 5%. You never know, when they introduce the new scheme, you may get even more of the new commissions

Yeah, I've just exceeded the total items despatched in the 250% tier so it's now dropped down to 50%
