It's my new site and work is still going on but it is live, highly optimised and it beginning to grow.

Businesses can advertise their site for £49 a year. Affiliates who refer those businesses are paid 33% commission, that's over £16 per sale.

I think its an interesting idea.

I have built a network of sites that can be accessed from www.ampalian.com.

Ampalian itself is one page with a PR of 4 and has been in online for only 8 weeks. I use for for my own navigation and to provide my company details to interested parties. The PR's on all of my other sites currently range 4 to 5.

Great Stuff UK is my latest site and is closely allied with www.mylocalplaces.co.uk and www.mylocalservices.co.uk, both PR 4 and each with around 30 affiliates after just a few weeks listed at Netclix.

None of these sites existed before January.

Great Stuff UK is not "finished" yet but then no site is ever finished. GSUK will grow both in terms of content, PR and advertisers.

I have posted a genuine offer of shared success. I look forward to having the joke explained to me

Sorry but for £49.00 a year I would expect at least 490 visits in a year - I can't see how a directory like this can deliver.

You may or may not have misunderstood me Dave. Anyway I've edited my first post to hopefully be clearer.

The site is new. It will however deliver for clients as it grows and in turn deliver for affiliates.

No but you're asking us to try and persuade our customers to spend £49 and I have no idea from this post as to why they should part with their money so how do you expect me to 'sell' the proposition to anyone! Either they can expect to get loads of traffic from their directory listing in which case some idea of traffic levels would be useful or maybe they could expect a boost in their PR, which won't happen from a PR0 page and if it's not a 'clean' text link that you're offering. That's why some people thought your post was a 'joke'

Great Stuff UK now has a PR of 4 based on Google now recognising 20 back links. There are over 200 back links and growing.

Your customers can create their own page in the site for just £49 per year. Of that the commission paid to you is over £16 (33%).

Your customers can include on their page:

• Logo
• 1500 character description
• Full address and contact details
• Cloaked e-mail link
• Page entered in up to 10 categories
• Up to ten featured products including name, description, price and picture.
• Users can log in to update or alter their page at any time.
