Tiscali Network don't want any more broadband customers!!!

Just had an email informing me that Tiscali have got enough broadband customers now, thank you very much, and no longer need IBAs and RAs to send them customers! The RA position is effectively abolished from tomorrow and there are 0 points (as with dialup) for the 3x broadband and reductions for the rest. Instead we want Smart Talk customers only please.
They have never been keen on us promoting their services via the internet, so wouldn't give us banners etc., and the Smart Talk website, the only one left for us to make money from, has got a prominently displayed phone number where they are reluctant to take the reference number to credit us.
I only chose to join Tiscali Network because they were so easy to promote over the web, and have been responsible for gathering a lot of customers for them. That's it, no thanks, you can b**ger off now (couched in terms of 'we've got fantasic news for you')...

I just spotted that email this morning and replied with a rocket propelled attack.
In the meantime I've switched all my links to DGM and reduced Tiscali prominence across the board.
I've also asked DGM to clarify the rates for PAYG, Anytime and Broadband which all end up on the same landing page ATM so I suspect it's gonna be bad news on that front to and if it is Tiscali will be dumped, especially given the rates offered by their competition.

That's right, here's the relevant bit from the email:

"Referral Associate customer gathering bounties for all broadband products will be removed effective from midnight 14th May. Up to that time all Referral Associate Broadband registrations placed before midnight 14th May will be paid according to the current rates when those customers become active. Referral Associate customer gathering bounties for Smarttalk remains an excellent £75 for 3 customers."

Unbelievable! I've not done much with them since they last moved the goalposts and halved the residual commissions, but I think I'll be ripping up my contract following this apalling decision.

Don't be surprised when they pull the same stunt with Smarttalk referrals once they have signed up enough customers.

Is this even legal? Werent they taking £200 off people as recently as last week on what must have been false pretenses as theres virtually no commission to get.

I've spent months showing my team how to get search engine traffic for their broadband websites only to be discarded so carelessly with less than 2 days notice. Have done very well, much better than from the affiliate scheme so I can hardly complain, but with Wanadoo offering £20+ and Tiscali offering £10 for broadband customers guess who will be at the bottom of the page rather than the top!

Don't forget that ultimately it is Tiscali who have said they don't want any more broadband sign ups for now - so keep a close eye on the DGM accounts too!

It is a shame it has come to an end so soon - I suppose it shows how successful it has been.

Anyone who has joined in the last 14 days - ask for your money back unless you want to promote the smart talk.
