This morning we have released our live XML book price comparison service, to complement our existing range of price comparison services. The book service covers around 20 UK online retailers. We now offer partner affiliates the following price comparison services :

- dvds with over 40 retailers
- cds with over 20 retailers
- video games (all platforms) with around 30 retailers
- electrical goods with around 40 retailers (and growing!)
- books with around 20 retailers
- price alert service for your visitors on your sites

The benefits of using these services are :

- live XML service, no product feeds or databases to maintain
- its an XML service, so your site looks and behaves exactly like you want it to
- absolutely no setup charges or up-front costs whatsoever
- you keep AT LEAST 65% of the commission earned by using the services
- separate affiliate accounts with your own tracking
- sample PHP and ASP pages showing how to consume the services

Just a quick note to say that this really is an excellent service for those of you that don't have the resources to setup your own price comparison database.

They have their own forum for partners to discuss implementing the service but to be honest I've always managed to get the feeds up and running quite quickly with little support.

For the less technical amongst you, we do provide examples in PHP and ASP, all you need are some web design skills! But as Brett says, they are quite easy to get up and running, and in total they've generated many thousands of pounds in commission for our current partners.
